Prenatal Course

Pregnancy can be an exciting, scary, and stressful time in a woman’s life. Many expectant mothers have a very specific exercise routine that they love; only to find out that they are unable to participate in that activity once pregnant. This can be due to the safety of the mother and fetus, the prospect of multiples (twins, triplets etc.), feeling uncomfortable, or fatigue.

Barre exercise can be a mother’s ideal solution to this problem. Since Barre is considered a no-impact to low-impact exercise, it is ideal for pregnant women. The intensity of the workout is easily controlled by the mother, and the use of the barre allows her the additional assistance with stability and balance. Not only does it help pregnant students to minimize weight gain, it is also able to lower the risk of gestational diabetes, and preeclampsia.

Since you already possess the foundational knowledge for teaching a safe and effective barre class, this specialized program will build on your knowledge and provide the fundamentals needed to teach a safe barre class for expectant mothers and for those who have just given birth.
