Open Doors for Your Audience.
IBBFA accepts a small number of qualified referral partners each year. We don't work with affiliate networks. We work with fitness professionals who know their audience and believe in what professional barre certification means.
What referral partners receive
Straightforward terms, transparent commissions, and the backing of the most internationally recognized barre credentialing authority in the world.
Flat commissions per completed enrollment — not per click, not per lead. When your referral enrolls and completes checkout, you earn. CBI at $599 earns you $150. Principal Track at $1,297 earns you $200.
25% commission on CBI · 15% on PrincipalEvery partner receives a unique landing page URL (barrecertification.com/go/[yourname]) plus a dedicated Thinkific coupon code. Your referrals are tracked by URL and code — not browser cookies that expire. Accuracy you can verify yourself.
No cookie expiration · Dual trackingPartners receive a welcome kit with approved copy, credential data, CEC documentation, and talking points. You also get direct WhatsApp access to Lisa — if a prospect has a question, you can get a real answer in hours, not days.
Direct founder access · Approved content kitIBBFA credentials are publicly verifiable at ibbfa.org/verify, recognized by ACE, NASM, AFAA, ISSA, CanFitPro, NPCP, and AUSactive for CECs, and held by instructors in 40+ countries. When you recommend IBBFA, you're recommending something your audience can research and confirm independently.
7 CEC organizations · Public verificationThe partners who earn the most — and why
Our best partners share one thing: their audience is already asking questions that IBBFA answers. The referral feels like a recommendation, not an ad — because it is one.
IBBFA CBI earns 35 NPCP CECs — enough to cover 2.5 renewal cycles in a single enrollment. Pilates instructors are actively looking for CECs. You hand them the math, they make the decision.
IBBFA earns 3.5 ACE CECs, 1.9 NASM CEUs, and 28 AFAA CEUs — relevant to any yoga teacher who also holds a fitness certification. The barre format adds a group fitness offering to their existing skill set.
CPTs adding group fitness specialties are a growing segment. IBBFA CBI earns 3.5 ACE CECs and 1.9 NASM CEUs — it's a specialty credential that satisfies continuing education requirements while opening a new client population.
YouTube, Instagram, and podcast creators covering fitness education, instructor careers, or group fitness trends. Audiences actively researching "how to become a barre instructor" or "barre certification" are already in the funnel.
Dance background is one of the strongest predictors of CBI completion speed. Dance educators whose students want to transition into fitness instruction have a direct pipeline — and they're often looking for a credential path to recommend.
IBBFA offers live webinars in Spanish and has strong enrollment from Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Spain. Spanish-speaking fitness educators with established audiences in these markets represent an underserved referral opportunity with below-average competition.
What a single introduction to your list can earn
These aren't projections pulled from thin air — they're based on the actual conversion patterns we see from qualified, aligned audiences. A warm introduction to the right people converts at 1–3%.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be IBBFA-certified to become a partner?
Not required — but it's a significant advantage. Partners who have completed the CBI themselves can speak from personal experience, and that authenticity converts better than any copy we could provide. If you hold a CBI or are currently enrolled, please note that in your application. If you're a Pilates educator, yoga teacher, or fitness professional whose audience would benefit from IBBFA certification, we still want to hear from you.
How are commissions tracked and paid?
Every partner receives both a dedicated landing page URL and a Thinkific enrollment coupon code. Referrals are tracked by both — so you're covered if a prospect saves your link and returns later, or finds the site independently but uses your coupon at checkout. Commissions are verified monthly and paid within the first week of the following month. We'll agree on the payment method during onboarding (Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, or wire).
Is there a minimum audience size requirement?
There's no hard floor, but we prioritize partners with an established, engaged audience — generally 1,000+ email subscribers or social followers in a relevant fitness niche. A highly engaged list of 800 Pilates instructors is more valuable to us than a general fitness following of 20,000 with no connection to barre. Tell us about your audience in your application and let us evaluate fit together.
Are there performance requirements to stay in the program?
No mandatory minimums. We don't terminate partnerships because of slow months. We do expect partners to make at least one aligned introduction per year — if a partnership produces nothing over 12 months, we'll have an honest conversation about whether the fit is right. We'd rather have three highly motivated partners than twenty passive ones.
Can I share my own experience going through the certification?
Yes — and we encourage it. Personal experience is the most credible content you can create. If you're a certified IBBFA instructor, we'll provide guidance on what you can claim accurately (pass rates, curriculum hours, CEC values, exam format) and what you should run by us first. Partners who share their own certification journey consistently outperform those who use generic marketing copy.
What about LATAM and non-US markets?
We actively want partners in LATAM markets. Spanish-language audiences in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Spain have lower instructor certification penetration and fewer competing programs. IBBFA offers enrollment in Spanish, live webinars in Spanish, and materials your audience can read in their own language. If you have a Spanish-speaking fitness audience, that's a significant opportunity — please apply.
The IBBFA Referral Partner Program is a selective, application-only affiliate program operated by the International Ballet Barre Fitness Association (IBBFA, Est. 2008). IBBFA is a professional credentialing authority for barre fitness instruction, having certified 7,000+ instructors across 40+ countries since 2008. The CBI (Certified Barre Instructor) certification is recognized for continuing education credits by ACE (3.5 CECs), NASM (1.9 CEUs), AFAA (28 CEUs), ISSA (35 CEUs), CanFitPro (15 CECs), NPCP (35 CECs), and AUSactive (8 CECs). Ideal referral partners include Pilates educators (NPCP credential holders), ACE/NASM/AFAA certified personal trainers and group fitness instructors, yoga teachers with fitness-forward audiences, dance educators, and fitness content creators with established communities. Commission rates: $150 per CBI enrollment ($599), $200 per Principal Track enrollment ($1,297). Applications are reviewed manually. Partner inquiries: info@ibbfa.org or WhatsApp +1 602-755-8995.
